Moving to Owen Sound

Nicknamed the Scenic City, Owen Sound is known for its expansive harbour, winding rivers, numerous trails, thriving historic downtown and plenty of park space.  Our City is the perfect destination to explore the natural beauty of Ontario while experiencing authentic food, culture, arts and entertainment.

Owen Sound is the seat of the County of Grey municipal government and hosts a number of regional, provincial and federal government offices. There is a selection of elementary, secondary, and private schools. Owen Sound also boasts a campus of Georgian College - the home of the Centre for Marine Training and Research.
