Mandate

This is a standing committee. The mandate of the Operations Committee is to:

  1. provide advice and recommendations to Council on Public Works and Engineering Department policies, programs and services. Public Works and Engineering includes the following Divisions:
    • Engineering
    • Environment
    • Public Works
    • Transit; and
    • Water and Wastewater
  2. provide a forum for the exchange of ideas and actions on policy, programs and initiatives related to Public Works and Engineering Department;
  3. implement and support the work of Council in achieving the vision, goals and objectives of the City’s Strategic Plan relating to Public Works and Engineering Department;
  4. review, provide feedback and participate in City policy development in areas relating to Public Works and Engineering Department; and
  5. engage, support and work collaboratively with partners.
