Strategic Plan

The City's Strategic Plan Refresh served from 2021-2023 and built off the previous Strategic Plan, maintaining the same vision, mission, values, and pillars as they continue to resonant with the community and staff.  Councillors, public members of each standing Committee, and Senior staff with the City contributed ideas that helped define the Strategic Plan’s overall direction, objectives, and key priorities.

In 2024 the City initiated the Future Owen Sound - Vision 2050 project.  The process will leverage existing local expertise while creating space for capacity building and collective learning. The process will also include an especially wide range of people and perspectives. The Future Owen Sound—Vision 2050 initiative is being led by the municipality, but given its extraordinarily inclusive and creative community engagement process, its success will ultimately be determined by the ongoing contributions of everyone.
