The City of Owen Sound is seeking applicants for the Seasonal Parks & Open Space Attendants role. Under the guidance of the Parks and Cemetery Supervisor, the Seasonal Parks and Open Space Attendant – Maintenance positions are responsible for performing duties related to the maintenance of all parks trails, Cemetery, downtown core, ball diamonds, and other maintained open spaces throughout the City. Typical assignments include cleaning washrooms and buildings, campground maintenance, providing customer service, turf maintenance, ball diamond preparation and grooming, horticulture support, and other general maintenance duties. This position may work independently and as a team, so a strong work ethic and drive to complete tasks is an asset.

Students will assist with operations and maintenance of the Parks and Open Space Division including but not limited to campground registration booth, campground maintenance, lawn and garden care, painting, cleaning, special events support and customer service duties. The City of Owen Sound is seeking energetic individuals to work as Tourism & Events Ambassadors.
Working closely with the staff in the Art Gallery, Culture & Tourism Division, the Tourism and Events Ambassador will represent the City at the Tourism Centre. The candidate will be required to assist visitors, provide information about events happening in our City, and support businesses by relaying pertinent information to visitors. The Tourism & Events Ambassadors will also assist with the execution of other Tourism related items including the sales of City merchandise. The successful candidate must be highly personable and possess excellent customer service and communication skills. A strong knowledge of digital media and enthusiasm for and knowledge for the City of Owen Sound and surrounding areas is considered an asset.
