1st Avenue West Closed on Sunday for D-Day 80th Anniversary March & Ceremony

The Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 6 will March and hold a Ceremony in recognition of the 80th Anniversary of D-Day at 12:00 pm on Sunday, June 9, 2024. To accommodate this event, the 800 block of 1st Avenue West will be fully closed to vehicular traffic from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. 

The businesses within the closure will maintain pedestrian access during their regular business hours. Parking is available in nearby Municipal lots 1, 2, 8, and 9 as well as on-street (where permitted).

All road users are encouraged to remain cautious and alert when travelling through the area to ensure the continued safety of all roadway users.
