Changes to Owen Sound Transit Fares and Routes for 2025
Owen Sound Transit (OST) is making changes to its transit system effective January 2025, including updates to fare structures and a pilot project involving a route change. These amendments aim to improve transit options while maintaining affordability for residents.
Fare Adjustments (Effective January 1, 2025):

Adult bus fare: Increasing from $3.00 to $3.25.

Student bus fare: Increasing from $2.50 to $2.75.

Adult monthly pass: Increasing from $70.00 to $72.50.

Senior monthly pass: Increasing from $55.00 to $57.50.

Student monthly pass: Increasing from $35.00 to $37.50.
New Fare Options:

Day pass: $9 per day.

10-ride pass: $27.
-
Semester pass: $165.
-
Affordability pass: Continues at the same rate as the Senior bus pass.
Route Changes (Effective January 6, 2025)
A pilot project will move a portion of the East Bayshore Route to the Crosstown Route.

The Crosstown Route will extend east along 8th Street East from 9th Avenue East to serve the Hospital and cover stops previously served by the East Bayshore Route.

The East Bayshore Route will now travel from the Walmart area to 16th Avenue East, then west along 10th Street East to the transit terminal, without making additional stops.

As part of this pilot project, the bus stop located along 16th Avenue East across from the Hospital entrance will not be in service.
Riders are encouraged to share feedback on this pilot project through an upcoming online survey, which will help evaluate this change.

The Owen Sound Transit terminal is open from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday and 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Sundays.
