City Announces New Term for Public Committee Members
The City of Owen Sound is pleased to announce the beginning of a new term for its dedicated public members of committees. These individuals have been appointed to serve on various City committees, including the Corporate Services, Community Services, and Operations Standing Committees, and the Tom Thomson Art Gallery Advisory Committee.
The newly appointed members bring a wealth of knowledge, experience, and community involvement to their respective committees. Their leadership and insight will be instrumental in shaping policies and initiatives that directly impact the daily lives of residents and the future of our City.
“We are excited to welcome this new cohort of committee members,” said Mayor Boddy, “their diverse backgrounds and expertise will help ensure that our City remains responsive to the needs and aspirations of our community. I am confident they will work diligently to make informed decisions that reflect the values and priorities of our residents.”
The committees, which are made up of both volunteers and members of City Council, play a crucial role in advising City leaders, providing input on a wide range of topics, and ensuring that public voices are heard in the decision-making process. The new term marks an important opportunity to continue fostering transparency, collaboration, and civic engagement in our local governance.
The appointed members will begin their work on February 1, participating in regular meetings to guide initiatives and provide recommendations to City Council.
