Earth Day Celebration Road Closure on Saturday, April 20

Earth Day Grey Bruce is hosting a community Earth Day event on Saturday, April 20. To accommodate the festivities, the 800 block of 1st Avenue West will be fully closed to vehicular traffic from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m.  

Pedestrian access to the businesses will be maintained throughout the closure per their regular operating hours. Parking is available in nearby Municipal lots 1, 2, 8, and 9 as well as on-street (where permitted). 

All road users are encouraged to remain cautious and alert when travelling through the area to ensure the continued safety of all roadway users. 

The City of Owen Sound is dedicated to providing information to ensure that residents are well-informed.
