Fall Operating Hours begin for Owen Sound Leaf and Yard Waste Site on November 4

To better align with shorter daylight hours at this time of year, Owen Sound’s Leaf and Yard Waste site will close daily at 5 p.m. starting on Monday, November 4, 2024.  It will still open for daily use to Owen Sound, Georgian Bluffs and Meaford residents at 8:30 a.m.

A list of accepted items is available at OwenSound.ca/Compost.  Dumping of any materials at the closed gate is monitored and prohibited.

The Leaf and Yard Waste composting facility is only for the City of Owen Sound, Township of Georgian Bluffs and Municipality of Meaford residential use.

The City of Owen Sound does not collect leaf and yard waste at the curb (even if it has a bag tag). It must be brought to the Leaf and Yard Waste facility, which is located at 2450 28th Avenue East.
