Good Cheer Rink at Harrison Park Opens Today!

The Good Cheer Rink at Harrison Park is open to the public, as of 12 p.m. today! The hours of operation are dawn until 10 p.m. daily. 

With the outdoor rink now in use, City staff would like to remind the public of the following guidelines:

Hockey and recreational skating are scheduled on alternating calendar days. The H.O.S.E. rule promotes safety and enjoyment for everyone. 

HOCKEY on

ODD calendar days.

SKATING on

EVEN calendar days. 

The City recommends wearing appropriate protective equipment when using the outdoor rink. Children under the age of 12 must be supervised by an adult. Please respect these guidelines and fellow users. Skate rentals are not available.

Quick Facts:

• The Harrison Park Good Cheer Rink was constructed in 2005 through a donation by the Scenic City Order of Good Cheer.
• Updates regarding the rink closure due to inclement weather will be available on the City’s Social Media Channels or at OwenSound.ca/PublicSkating.
• Rink boards originally added for Scotiabank Hockey Day in Canada will be in place for the duration of the skating season.
