Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre Upgrade Projects Begin this Spring!

Over the next few weeks, you may notice several improvement projects taking place at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre. The bulk of the projects are expected to be completed over the next few weeks, and include:

• Dehumidifier replacement to improve ice quality and air quality for users.
• Community Hall kitchen upgrades – Both the Bay and Sound Room kitchens will undergo a significant facelift with the removal and replacement of the original cabinets, coupled with lighting and equipment upgrades to increase functionality for caterers and general users.
• Community Hall sound system – Replacement of the sound system in the community halls, allowing for ease of use for rentals.
• North Hall skate tile – Removal of the existing floor tiles replaced with rubber skate tile extending from dressing room 7 to the Attack dressing room area.
• Dressing Room hallway heating upgrades – The outdated heating units will be replaced with more energy-efficient models, ensuring improved comfort for users together with potential energy savings.
• Interior door replacement – Removal and replacement of some of the facility's 40-year-old doors. These replacements will increase safety and improve the security of the building. 

These projects are part of the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre’s 5-year capital plan, which prioritizes the upgrading of aging areas and infrastructure to enhance appearance, accessibility, energy efficiency, functionality, and user experience.
