Share Your Voice on City’s Short-Term Rental One-Year Review Survey

As part of Owen Sound Council’s ongoing commitment to community engagement, residents are asked to provide feedback via an online survey now available to review the City’s first year of Short Term Rental (STR) licensing.

The City introduced licensing requirements for short-term rentals (like Airbnb properties) in March 2024, following Council's approval in December 2023. Now, it's time to evaluate how these rules are working for our community.

Whether you're an STR operator, visitor, or neighbour, your feedback is invaluable. Please take a few moments to complete the survey at OurCity.OwenSound.ca/STRs, which will help shape the future of STRs in Owen Sound.

The survey will be open until March 14, 2025, and the staff report will be presented to the Service Review Implementation Ad Hoc Committee on April 9, 2025.  Paper or alternative versions of the survey are available by request.

For more information, please contact Briana Bloomfield, City Clerk, at 519-376-4440 ext. 1247 or email bbloomfield@owensound.ca.
