Shop Local and Win in the River District this Holiday Season
It’s never too late to shift your shopping focus to support local businesses, and Owen Sound’s River District has a roster of great ways to do just that!
Join River District businesses during Moonlight Madness this Friday, December 6th from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Stores will be open late with special offers and sales inside.
The River District streets will come alive with holiday music and fire tables, seating, and more.
Make sure you make time to take in the Holiday Artisan Market running from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Owen Sound Farmers’ Market.
Win one of two nights out in the River District during Moonlight Madness by tuning into Mix.106.5 this week. Winners will be announced on December 5th, during the morning show with Sarah Carmichael. Enter for your chance to win two tickets to the Roxy Theatre for the Middle Raged Sketch Comedy show on Friday, December 6th, $100 in River District Gift Certificates, and a bonus of two tickets to a future Attack hockey game.
Join fellow shoppers in the Holiday Shopping Passport Contest from Saturday, November 16th to Sunday, December 15th. Collect at least 5 stickers from 24 participating businesses and enter for your chance to win over $1,400 in gift certificates and merchandise. Once you’ve completed a card you can start again and keep shopping.
While you’re in the River District, take in the beautiful window displays by local business owners and vote for your favourite. Your vote will enter you into a draw for $100 in River District Gift Certificates. Look out for the QR code poster on the windows of participating businesses and scan it with your phone to enter.
Visit the Festival of Northern Lights displays from Saturday, November 16th, to Sunday, January 5th, nightly from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. along the Sydenham River and into Harrison Park.
