Canada Post Strike

Canada Post workers began strike action on November 15, 2024, leading to delays in service.

As a result, residents may experience significant delays in receiving their water bill in the mail.  Please note that the payment due date remains the same, regardless of if the bill is received in the mail.

Sign up for e-billing here to ensure you receive water (and tax) bills through email, and review payment options here.  The City of Owen Sound is requesting that residents DO NOT send payment through the mail during the postal strike.

Significant Weather Event Ended 

December 03, 2024

In accordance with the Provincial Minimum Maintenance Standards, the City of Owen Sound is declaring an end to the Significant Weather Event that was issued on November 29, 2024.   

The City extends gratitude to all residents for their patience and cooperation during this most recent snowstorm.  Special thanks to dedicated City staff teams whose hard work in clearing roads and sidewalks was vital in keeping our community as safe and accessible as possible.
