Canada Post Strike

Canada Post workers began strike action on November 15, 2024, leading to delays in service.

As a result, residents may experience significant delays in receiving their water bill in the mail.  Please note that the payment due date remains the same, regardless of if the bill is received in the mail.

Sign up for e-billing here to ensure you receive water (and tax) bills through email, and review payment options here.  The City of Owen Sound is requesting that residents DO NOT send payment through the mail during the postal strike.

Temporary 10th Street East Road Closure on October 10

October 08, 2024

The City of Owen Sound will be closing 10th Street East to through traffic from 11th Avenue East to 16th Avenue East between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. on Thursday, October 10, 2024, for tree removal.

It is suggested to use 11th Avenue East or 8th Street East as an alternate route during daytime hours to avoid the closure.
