The City of Owen Sound's baseball diamonds remain in high demand as user groups continue to grow and expand. Our diamonds are utilized by Minor Sports Groups, Adult Leagues and have hosted a variety of provincial, national and international tournaments over the years.
The well-kept diamonds support hardball, slo-pitch, fastball and softball and are generally open from May-September.
You can find a complete list of rates in the Fees and Charges By-law.
Class A - Tom Williams Park (Lit Diamond)
Tom Williams Park is the City's only true hardball diamond. With a grass infield, dirt basepaths, covered dugouts and fences that stretch to Major League depths, Tom Williams is the perfect setting to play or watch a baseball game.
Class A - Duncan McLellan Park (3 Lit Diamonds)
A hub for tournaments in Owen Sound, Duncan McLellan Park offers three lit baseball diamonds including a fastball park with bleachers, washrooms and a concession booth. Duncan McLellan Park also offers a pavilion in the heart of all three diamonds and can be licensed for special events.
Class B - St. Georges Park (Lit Diamond)
Located downtown at the bottom of 10th Street East hill and close to the Rec Centre, St. Georges is the "Fenway Park" of Owen Sound diamonds. The church, gardens and tennis courts just past the outfield fences provides an urban feel and a fun playing experience for all participants.
Class C - St. Julien's, Kinsmen, Harrison Field, Kelso Beach (no lights)
These diamonds are great for younger age groups or overflow for slo-pitch and softball tournaments. They offer great scenery, dirt/gravel infields, and full groundskeeper service at an additional cost if desired.
