Though her career started as a busker in her small hometown market, her resilience has led her to perform on stages such as Massey Hall’s TD Music Hall, Yonge-Dundas Square, NXNE, Owen Sound’s Summerfolk, and share stages with iconic artists including 98 Degrees, Ron Sexsmith, Monowhales, and Lori Yates. With over a hundred thousand streams and views, Paige’s music has drawn love from media and listeners alike.
Paige Warner’s voice is often what draws people in. “Paige is very much a modern pop singer-songwriter…but there’s something unmistakably timeless about her sound.” (Rrampt). While her music is catchy and emotive, her lyrics often touch poetically on themes of heartbreak, female resilience, and love. With her brand new album, Bitter/Sweet, Paige Warner plans to continue creating intimate concert experiences, sharing vulnerability through folk-like storytelling, and having fun with catchy pop hooks, all while leaving audiences with a memorable connection and a melody.

John Hume and Jon Zaslow have played together for many years on the shores of Georgian Bay. Dances, restaurants, parties, theatre shows…. Two voices, piano and guitar, the hits of late, and hits from the Classic era!!!
John Hume’s first performances were at High School coffee houses in Toronto. During his university days he made his living playing in a Pub owned by the Irish Rovers. Following school he spent 2 years playing Lounges in Ontario and Quebec. Unhappy with the music he was required to play, he spent the late 80’s and early 90’s playing original music in the Queen Street clubs in Toronto. In 2000 he moved to Meaford, having had enough of the Big City. He slowly worked his way into the local music scene playing with the many great musicians that live in the area.
Jon Zaslow is a singer/songwriter from Thornbury, formerly of Toronto, and London, Ontario. His early musical career focused on guitar playing, playing fulltime, on the road, paying dues and playing on others’ albums, jingles and the like. Currently a member of the Ian Thomas Band, and as guitar player in Johnny Cash and Gordon Lightfoot shows.
Jon has completed 5 CD’s of original material, available online, with a 6th almost ready for release.

August 12 ~ Dave Snider and Cowdust - Owen Sound Farmers' Market
Location: 88 8th St E, Owen Sound
Owen Sound’s Dave Snider and Cowdust play alternative country music, melding ragged and sincere originals with electrified versions of older country tunes. Their live shows are all heart; they play loud, with abandon and their energy can’t be faked. Their lyrics mine love, loss, and meaning-making. In 2026 Cowdust released Trash and Tribute, a rowdy EP of country covers. Their first album of original music is forthcoming.
Dave (guitar/songwriter) was in the Owen Sound/Ottawa punk rock band Clock Strikes before co-founding music projects in Vancouver and Guelph. Most recently he helped make the Polaris prize nominated album All Wild Things Are Shy, by his late cousin from Tara, ON, Richard Laviolette. Travis Taylor (lead guitar), Tom Snider (drums) and Kevin Griffin (bass) are among the co-founders of Thresher, Owen Sound’s psychedelic music collective. Kevin is the founder of OwnSound recordings, the local music label for sonic experimenters.
August 19 ~ Gracie Jet - 'The Launch" at the West Side Boat Launch
![]() |
Location: 1451 1st Ave W, Owen Sound - The Launch
When you hear the phrase “hit the ground running,” the first name that should come to mind is Gracie Jet. A storytelling folk-rock powerhouse from southern Ontario, Gracie has quickly become one of the most compelling new voices in Canada’s vibrant music landscape. Known for her emotional fearlessness, radiant energy, and infectious charm, she brings a magnetic presence to every performance — whether in an intimate club or on a festival stage.
A multi-faceted artist, Gracie is not only a songwriter and performer but also a practicing nurse who worked tirelessly on the front lines during the COVID-19 pandemic. Those experiences of resilience, compassion, and exhaustion profoundly shaped her perspective and songwriting. Her lyrics often read like journal entries — raw, honest reflections that illuminate her humanity and strength.
Since her 2022 debut, Gracie has released a steady stream of singles supported by FACTOR Canada, earning international radio play and over 250,000 views on the self-directed music video for her breakout track Sister. Her follow-up singles Sway and Forest Fire were featured on the national television program CMCTV Talent, further solidifying her rising profile.
Gracie has performed at renowned Toronto venues such as The Rivoli and The Monarch Tavern, and has taken her sound to festival stages from Ontario to Nova Scotia. In 2024, she was nominated for The Ontario Arts & Culture Emerging Artist Award in Owen Sound, recognizing her growing influence and originality within the Canadian folk-rock scene.
Now, with her sound refined into a confident, expressive ethos, Gracie is hard at work on her debut album Smile — a ten-song self-portrait of perseverance, authenticity, and hope. Strong, sincere, and full of life, Gracie Jet is an artist whose name you’ll be hearing for years to come.

Sept 9 ~ Onion Honey - Billy Bishop Museum - Pollinator Garden
![]() |
Location: 948 3rd Ave W, Owen Sound
Onion Honey may hail from Ontario’s tech capital, but musicians Dave Pike, Esther Wheaton, Leanne Swantko, and Kayleigh LeBlanc play folk music like an old-fashioned string band. The multi-talented lineup all sing harmony, write songs, and pass around banjo, guitar, mandolin, and double bass in performance - and three years of weekly ‘Banjo Church’ livecasts polished their onstage rapport to a high shine.
The band released Foul Weather Friends in May 2023, their first professional studio album after over a decade of self-produced music. Recorded live off the floor and engineered by Andy Magoffin at his House of Miracles, Roots Music Canada praised the album’s “out-of-this-world harmonies and sweet, tart, string-band sound” and the band’s “catchy-as-hell little ditties that could easily pass for traditional”. The record earned them a nomination at the 2025 CFMAs for Contemporary Vocalist of the Year.
Onion Honey has been heard on radio stations across Canada, showcased at Folk Music Ontario in 2023, and performed at a number of festivals including Mariposa Folk Festival in Orillia, Springtide Festival in Uxbridge, Winterfolk in Toronto, River Valley Bluegrass Festival, and more.
