Green Bin Delivery Has Started
Owen Sound's Green Bin program collection begins in June of 2025, and green bins have started to arrive at eligible households.
Bins are being delivered by a third party contractor to the bottom of your driveway.
You do not need to be present to get your bin. If you are away for an extended time, have a friend or neighbour set it aside for you.
For Frequently Asked Questions about the Green Bin program - visit the green bin webpage here.
If you believe you have been missed for a bin delivery, or have other concerns, please submit a form here and select 'Green Bin Issue'.
Due to last night’s severe storm, City staff continue to prioritize and clean up damages from high winds and heavy rains across Owen Sound.
On Saturday, June 15, 2024, the River District will welcome the 2024 Pride Parade, Street Fair, and Vendor Market. Motorists through the River District may experience delays to allow the safe passage of the parade. Businesses will remain accessible throughout the closures. Parking is available in nearby municipal lots and on-street where permitted.
The Premier’s visit highlights Owen Sound's strategic efforts to position itself as an open-for-business city actively seeking to attract more participants in the isotope supply chain sector.
The event will be held at the Public Works Facility (1900 20th Street East) from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
