The City of Owen Sound offers a variety of public skating seasonal memberships that can be easily and conveniently purchased online. The memberships are valid from September 24, 2023, until March 31, 2024. Public skating takes place at the Harry Lumley Bayshore Community Centre on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.
The Ontario government is investing $25.5 million over two years to help address the rise of hate incidents against religious and minority groups. The Anti-Hate Security and Prevention Grant will help faith-based and cultural organizations enhance or implement measures to ensure community spaces remain safe and secure. The deadline to apply for this grant is Tuesday, October 24 through the online application form.
